Listening to Life and Change

Kerstin Ergenzinger (DE), Udo Noll (DE), Diana Karle (DE)

A live audio transmission stream (04-11 2026) from the maternity roost of the Greater Mouse-eared Bat in the tower of St. Margaret’s Church in Kahla. Through shared listening and exchange—via formats such as an international Telegram group, collective public listening sessions and an acousmatic composition incorporating ultrasound events—the project fosters awareness of the sensory world of bats and coexistence. Bat detector technology makes audible what ordinarily lies beyond human hearing.
