When do we humans reach our physical and psychological limits as more and more automated processes are integrated into interpersonal interactions through digitalization, acceleration and optimization of information and computing power? Detox is an artistic exploration and an attempt to pit technology against technology. The performance aims to experience the limits in search of a silence in the noise through methods of deceleration.
With an affinity for minimalism and atmosphere, Thai Tai Pham moves within the interplay of moving image and sound in the form of video works, installations and performance. Cultural identity, migration and language are often at the center of his observations and artistic explorations. Pham currently lives and works in Weimar, Germany.
